ARE YOU REALLY ON TRACK WITH COVID-19 PROTOCOLS?
Businesses everywhere are implementing back-to-work protocols to keep employees safe from the spread of COVID-19. But are there unintended consequences to the way your company is rolling out its plan? Is your plan even being put in place as intended? Are there any gaps?
EMPLOYEE FEEDBACK IS CRUCIAL
Employees are your eyes and ears across your organization. But unless they’re empowered to provide feedback without hesitation, managers may not know how new protocols are working, and how they’re affecting employee well-being and productivity. For example:
- Are protocols, as implemented, causing other health concerns? (An example of this may be ergonomic issues from reconfigured work spaces.)
- Is COVID-19 PPE (masks, etc.) interfering with other PPE requirements? How?
- Are employees seeing deficiencies in any personal or workplace sanitizing measures?
Managers need to ask these kinds of questions, and they need to ask them often. Marlin workplace digital signage is a great tool for doing this in a way everyone will see.
To help get the feedback conversation going, be sure to ask some specific questions in the pieces you upload. But it’s equally important to encourage all kinds of feedback, no matter what ‘seed’ questions you list. And as always, have a clear call to action. Employees should know exactly how to provide feedback.
